Analogue artists defying the digital age

I'm assuming this is the same Sean O'Hagan who tapped into the Beach Boys harmonious, progressive headspace with his band the High Llamas in the 1990s? Either way he's put together an illuminating portrait of some souls we can feel a little empathy with in this weeks Guardian. They're mainly good intentioned, one or two perhaps barking up the wrong tree but all engagingly firing against dangerous sacrifices in the process of creativity. Lewis Durham is spot on when he points out that a drummer needing studio technology to sort out his time keeping shouldn't be drumming at all!
